Records graded first, than cover
!
There are several grades for records. I try
to grade conservatively. Although there are some records that I grade m-, it is
an elusive grade at best. I do grade some records m- , but those are squeeky
clean. All records I sell are in good
to mint condition. Always
remember that "good" does not mean bad !! A record in good
condition means that it has given it's owner many hours of listening pleasure.
But these vinyl treasures are not like fine wine ! Their condition does not
improve with age. They are more akin to a pair of your favorite walking shoes.
They may have lost some of their polish , and they may look a little rough
around the edges , but when you put them on-- they make you feel pretty darn
good. So too with a record in good condition. They might have some label
imperfections and some light scratches here and there , but they don’t skip.
The occasional pops and surface noises shouldn’t distract
significantly from your listening pleasure. A “VG” record on the other hand
looks and sounds”very good” and is a step below “M-. A record in “M-“ condition
will have a few scuffs here and there, and a few very light scratches here and
there, but it will play like new and its overall appearance should look that
way. Mint records are extremely rare
from the “fifties and sixties “, and thus command a premium price.
But enough about grading , let’s move on to our “Set Sale List”
