                                                               Record grades:

                 M     Mint  ------------  Clean as a whistle

M-        Mint Minus ------ A few light scratches here and there

VG    Very Good --- Some popping and surface noise, scratching in places , but still a pretty good copy

G       Good ---------- This record doesn’t skip, has surface popping, and ,or noise, but will fill the collection until a better copy comes along.

Concerning the above grades: I  grade conservatively. Records I sell are in good to mint condition. Always remember that "good" does not mean bad !! A record in good condition means that it has given it's owner many hours of listening pleasure. But these vinyl treasures are not like fine wine ! Their condition does not improve with age ! They are more akin to a pair of your favorite walking shoes. They may have lost some of their polish , and they may look a little rough around the edges , but when you put them on , they make you feel pretty darn good. So too with a record in good condition. They may have  label imperfections and some pops and scratches here and there , but nothing that distracts too significantly from ones listening enjoyment.

Washboard Willie  ----“Cherry Red Blues / Washboard Shuffle”   Another super                                               rarity from Detroit. Co-written by legends Joe Turner and Pete Johnson, the                                                     sexual content and racial atmosphere of the times insured that this   tune never made                                                   it to the airwaves. Artists such as Jimmy Reed and Eddie “ Cleanhead “ Vinson                                                  later recorded weak, toned down versions of the song. Vinson recorded not                                                            only a single , but an LP entitled”Cherry Red” ( Bluesway 6007 ) , in 1967 .
